What is a Digital Asset?

A digital asset is a book on Amazon that exists digitally and only exists physically if someone buys it as a book to be shipped to them in the mail. 

Amazon prints the book, just like any book from a bookstore, IF the book is ordered. Otherwise people may also order that book as a kindle book or listen to it as an audio book. 

The beauty of the system is that it involves no inventory, and pays up to 70% margins (even on printed books).

I call the books she sells on Amazon “digital books” but they can be purchased as physical books too (and audio for that matter). 

If it’s purchased as a physical book, Amazon just prints the book and mails it to the customer.

And the great thing is the profit margins very high (up to 70%). 

None of the books are written in ‘her’ name, much like most authors on Amazon, she uses a pen name for most of these. 

So that way she can enter multiple non-fiction niches and maintain her anonymity. 

That’s great for her, though it’s also great that some of her students prefer to use their real name, as having their own book out there can also build their authority in the industry they are in. 

Being a ‘published author’ is a fantastic credibility enhancer. So there are multiple benefits of her outstanding model.
